I want to help you Fail well..... wait what!? (I can explain

I specialize in the things you just can't shake.  You wonder how you can do so many things but you just cannot get "this" to go away.

This includes so many things.

-Events that you can name that changed you

-Emotions that effect your thinking or actions

-Ways of thinking that you hate but happen no matter what deal y

My Story

Since obtaining my Masters Degree in 2006, I've worked in Vermont and New York State. I began my career studying disorders with high relapse rates and risks. Working with the severe and persistently mentally ill has made me an expert in change and "failing well." I've learned not to be stumped by persistent and tricky patterns, developing strategies to gain traction with long-lasting disorders and behaviors. Failure doesn't discourage me; it fuels my curiosity and determination.

My most recent role was at St Joseph's Hospital Health Center as the Clinical Staff Educator for the Outpatient Clinic. I've been interviewed in print, radio, and television on mental health, co-occurring treatment, integrated treatment, and substance abuse topics.

Throughout my career, I've held various positions such as therapist, licensure supervisor, Internship director, Clinical Staff Educator, educational grant manager, and program development specialist, reflecting my diverse skill set and commitment to clinical sustainability.

For the past fifteen years, I've dedicated a significant amount of time to training therapists as an adjunct professor, participating in conferences, consulting, and delivering training sessions. I've also served on boards related to clinical internships, care initiatives, educational grants, and program development.

I've collaborated with institutions like Syracuse University and Tompkins County Community College, as well as agencies such as the NYS Office of Mental Health, Helio Health, Tompkins County Mental Health, Circare, Arise, and Liberty Health, training staff on effective treatment approaches and teaching undergraduate courses.

My special interests lie in Women's Mental Health, Pregnancy and Postpartum Disorders, Reproductive Mental Health, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, PTSD, and mood disorders, reflecting my holistic approach to mental health care and advocacy.

With intensive training (meaning fully trained and not just introduced to) (Did I mention I LOVE my job!).

  • Perinatal Training (PSI)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Beck Institute)
